Description

With two great learning environments at your fingertips, the opportunity to learn or even improve your paddleboarding skills is a dream come true. Our Paddle Canada certified instructors in Basic Flatwater are passionate about two things: the water and the whales. Come and benefit from their experience and their motivation to introduce you to a sport with a growing popularity.

You will learn all the basics including paddling techniques, the particularities of your board as well as the safety elements, especially with regards to the environment in which marine mammals are found.

In addition, by following this training, Mer et Monde will give you free access to the Anse à la Cave boat launch, in total autonomy with your own equipment and boat.

The SUP activities are the only ones authorized in reservation of odd number (1,3 and 5) for the respect of the social distanciation.

Please refer to the reservation system for detailed daily schedules.

Please arrive 30 minutes in advance at the Mer et Monde reception desk (Bergeronnes) or at the Mer et Monde kiosk on the beach (Tadoussac).

Latecomers will not be accepted and will not be refunded.

Duration

2h30 including 30 minutes of preparation, about 30 minutes of theoretical training, 1 hour of practical training and 30 minutes of free play in the water to practice your new knowledge.

Requirements

12 years and older.

Be comfortable in the water and have no physical injuries.

Pregnant women are not allowed to participate in SUP activities due to the increased risk of falling.

Adults: $60 +taxes (15%)
Children (16 years old and under) : 47.50$ +taxes (15%)

PACKAGE

Combine a SUP Training package with any other activity to get a 10% discount on the second activity.

Recommended equipment (not included)

Equipment provided includes a wet-suit (Tadoussac) or dry-suit (Bergeronnes), a flotation jacket, neoprene booties, and all navigation equipment (paddle and paddle board).

For your comfort on warmer days, it is suggested that you bring thin synthetic underwear or a bathing suit (avoid cotton), a pair of thin wool socks, a cap, a bottle of water and sunscreen.

For cooler days, add thicker synthetic clothing, a warm fleece-type sweater, wool or synthetic socks, a hat, toque or cap.
