Bergeronnes, Anse à la Cave
June 4 to October 10, 2021
Following the announcement of the Quebec government concerning the implementation of the vaccination passport, please note that we will apply this measure, as of September 1st, to all our cruises and sea kayaking activities. As of September 1, anyone 13 years of age or older must present a vaccination passport (or proof of vaccination with QR code) and an ID card to take part in these activities.
Formerly known as Les Baleines du Saint-Laurent, this activity allows you to experience the upwelling of the cold waters of the Anse à la Cave sector. For half a day, experience the observation of a great diversity of marine mammals.
Each observation must be appreciated. Indeed, the frequently used expression, "the pool is very big", translates well an often forgotten thought. Whales are scattered over a large area of water and therefore difficult to predict.
The activity begins with a one-hour land-based introduction that will make you comfortable for the next few hours. With the use of double kayaks and the presence of a professional guide, this activity is for everyone, with or without experience.
4h PM (from June 11 to September 5 only)
You must arrive at the reception desk of Mer et monde écotours 30 minutes in advance.
Please note that in case of delay, participants will not be able to join the activity and will be not refund.
3h30 including 1 hour of land preparation (interpretation, clothing, adjustment of the kayaks, safety rules), about 2h15 of observation on the water and 15 minutes for the finalization (undressing, collection, final word).
Minimum age 7 years. We strongly recommend that families with young children (under 12 years old) select 8am or 4pm departure times.
It is mandatory that each child under 18 years old be paired with an adult.
The activity is not recommended for pregnant women under 4 months and over 6 months.
Adults : 71$ +taxes (15%)
Children (under 17) : 53.25$ +taxes (15%)
Add any other activity offered by Mer et monde écotours and get a 10% discount on the least expensive activity. For $115.00 per adult ($88.45 per child), get a half-day of sea kayaking and a SUP activity, in Tadoussac or Bergeronnes (depending on availability and respective conditions of the selected activities). Available upon reservation by phone.
